How can i change what i dream?

checj this out it just happened recently i had a dream about a week ago where an earthquake hit my hometown of belfast i remember specifically me standing in my attic and a my floor started to split i have a ocean blue wood floor. then just the other night reports on the news said an earthquake had hit haiti but it showed on the news report of a building split up the middle but also showed a shot of a split ocean blue wood floor very similar to mine is this coincidence or some thing else
