Why are some social rights supposed to be outweighed by public safety concerns,while others are not?

The mainstream liberal position is to follow Obama blindly into hell. Sure liberals hunt, and enjoy gun activities, but they are mostly blinded by their slavish devotion to “the one” If Obama told them they needed to give up their right to firearms, most would fall lockstep into line and follow their messiah blindly, no matter where he leads.
