How do i make my chihuahua be nice?

Chihuahua's generally don't do good with kids especially if they are not used to them. Chi's like predictability, calm, and quiet. Kids are the exact opposite. Kids can frighten or make any dog unsure with their sporadic movements and screaming but to a chi who is so much smaller than any child it is downright threatening and intimidating for them. The best thing to do would be to try and keep them seperate so no one gets hurt. You could have the kids give him treats very quietly and carefully but it might not convince him. I have a chi and she only like adults, kids are very intimidating for her so we just make the kids leave her alone. ;) Better for all concerned.
