My child is COLIC! advice?

My baby cries, non stop! My niece and all other babies I know are not like this. He WILL NOT accept being set down anywhere, he screams! I can't hold him all the time, he screams in his crib, swing, toy mat, car seat, everything. My head is always pounding....advice for colic babies?...He only calms down when I am holding him, swinging back and forth, and patting his back...but obviously I need to work, and do everything else so I can't always be right there, neither can my boyfriend. Help
