Are Lutheran church services similar to Roman Catholic Mes?

I am a former Lutheran and the way the service goes is almost exactly the same as the M (not saying what they believe is the same, just saying the layout, some prayers, and hymns are almost exactly the same). The Sacramental Union is the Lutheran Eucharistic theology title. The Lutherans have Private Confession available, but it's not required. At the beginning of the service they have a Silent Confession, and the pastor (or priest) gives them absolution for their sins (see Matt. 9:6).
