Saint Gerard Medal?

I have a St. Gerard medal which I bought before I conceived and wore throughout my pregnancy. Now, my sister wants to conceive so I'm wondering if there's anything religiously or socially wrong with giving her my medal. I know it's not a "magical implement" or anything, but it's kind of like giving someone your rosary or other prayer item, which I thought was bad. Does anyone know? Once again, as I always feel the need to say: I do not need answers from anyone telling me that praying to saints is wrong, sinful, stupid, ineffective, etc... It's what I believe. Respect it, please. Thank you.
