Sectarian boogie; wonder what non-christian Mancunians thought of the various songs of Rangers' fans?
An old Asian friend from uni phoned me up just before the match was starting, telling me fans were trotting down his street chanting a song which had half the street rushing to their homes, and the rest standing on the street, smiling, thinking they were expressing 'love for their club'. Didn't bother telling him the song probably was 'The Sash', a well known tune mostly heard in East Belfast every July 12; up the Newtownards Road. He finished saying a good time was had by all' - thought it would be good to remain silent.
